Unless We Are Born Again...

World Mission Society Church of God (WMSCOG) follows teaching of Jesus. And christ Ahnsahnghong and God the Mother have established the World Mission Society Church of God (WMSCOG).

God has said that if we follow His word, we will prosper in everything we do. I earnestly hope that in this year all our family members of Zion will please Elohim and give Them glory by living a more worthy life in the eyes of Elohim, paying attention to the prophecies Father has given us and following the Teachings of Mother.

Let us be fully born again as the heavenly people who resemble God, being changed for the better in everything, including our speech, behavior and mindset. The kingdom of heaven is a place where those who are not reborn can never enter. Thinking of the kingdom of heaven which is closer than yesterday, far closer than last year, we should be born again and live a life worthy of going to heaven every day.

The kingdom of heaven where only the reborn can enter

Christ reminded us of the kingdom of heaven, saying, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near" (Mt 4:17), and also teaches us that we cannot enter the kingdom of God unless we are born again.

Jn 3:18 ". . . In reply Jesus declared, "I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again." "How can a man be born when he is old?" Nicodemus asked. "Surely he cannot enter a second time into his mother's womb to be born!" Jesus answered, "I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. You should not be surprised at my saying, 'You must be born again.' . . ."

Since Jesus says we cannot see the kingdom of God unless we are born again, "being born again" is the most urgent task for those who hope for heaven. Of course, we must obey every teaching God has given us in order to be born again, but unless we become gracious in our speech, we may fail to enter the kingdom of God. As the kingdom of God is much closer, we need to first change our speech and behavior, speaking only beautiful words that give grace to those who hear.

This is also a teaching that Mother always gives us, and it is also what She emphasized at the education meetings held at the beginning of this year. We use many words in our daily speech. The Bible teaches us that we should speak gracious words pleasing to God that benefit one another, give hope for heaven and build up each other in faith, rather than ungracious and secular words that makes the mind of the listener go astray in the world and injure their faith.

Considering the teachings of Mother and reflecting upon myself, I am regretful for not being fully born again. I also realize that Mother wants us to be born again to become beautiful and gracious so that we will go back to the kingdom of God.

Eph 4:29-32 "Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you."

God always teaches us to speak words that give grace to those who listen. I'd like to ask you to get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger and to show kindness, love and compassion to one another, speaking only gracious words.

"By your words you will be acquitted,
and by your words you will be condemned."

The kingdom of God is really not a place where we can go just by spending time doing nothing. Since Jesus has clearly said that we cannot see the kingdom of God unless we are born again, we should make continuous efforts to be reborn. If you fail after trying once, please try twice, three times and more, forcefully advancing towards the kingdom of heaven. There is nothing we can't do if we try ten times or more. Jesus said in a stern tone to those who spoke evil words.

Mt 12:34-37 "You brood of vipers, how can you who are evil say anything good? For out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks. The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in him, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in him. But I tell you that men will have to give account on the day of judgment for every careless word they have spoken. For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned."

We must be born again in our speech. Even though the truth of the Bible is gracious and perfect and every teaching Heavenly Father and Mother have given us is good and beautiful, unless we, children of God in Zion, do not assimilate God's words and fail to put them into practice, what use are thousands upon thousands of beautiful and gracious words in the Bible?

Every single word is important. A single word can kill a man's soul or save him. An appropriate remark can relieve the pain of many people at once, but an improper remark can cause a problem or trouble and can even bring about the tragedy of being deprived of one's birthright. So, Jesus says that men will have to give account on the day of judgment for every careless word they have spoken.

Jas 3:1-8 ". . . We all stumble in many ways. If anyone is never at fault in what he says, he is a perfect man, able to keep his whole body in check. When we put bits into the mouths of horses to make them obey us, we can turn the whole animal. Or take ships as an example. Although they are so large and are driven by strong winds, they are steered by a very small rudder wherever the pilot wants to go. Likewise the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts. Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark. The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole person, sets the whole course of his life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell. All kinds of animals, birds, reptiles and creatures of the sea are being tamed and have been tamed by man, but no man can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison."

The perfect are those who are not at fault in what they say. Jesus says that unless we are not born again, we cannot enter the kingdom of God. So, we should make constant efforts to become perfect in every way, beginning with our speech, through the power of the Holy Spirit.

In the Bible we can find many cases where a dead spirit is revived, a disheartened person gains strength and courage, and a man with a withered faith is lifted up again. On the contrary, there are some cases where the whole congregation becomes stagnant in faith because of negative remarks from one person who has fallen into temptation. The history of Israel is a shadow which shows this fact exactly.

Leading 600,000 people into destruction by words

As we look into the Biblical history, we can see that the 600,000 men evoked the wrath of God at once during their desert journey because some were at fault in what they said.

In the time of Moses, while the Israelites lived in the desert, God directed Moses to select twelve spies, one from each tribe, to spy out the land of Canaan which He had promised them as an inheritance. As they returned from exploring the land, ten of them gave bad report to the people. They said, "The land we explored devours those living in it. All the people we saw there are of great size. We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we looked the same to them," and added they could not conquer them.

After hearing the negative report from the ten spies, the Israelites became dis-couraged. Realistically, it seemed almost impossible to conquer the land of Canaan even though God had promised it to them. They cried out loud all night long, and grumbled against God and their leaders, saying, "If only we had died in Egypt! Or in this desert! Why is the LORD bringing us to this land only to let us fall by the sword?"

However, the other two spies, Joshua and Caleb, felt righteous indignation when they saw the people grumbling. They said, "Why don't you believe the promise of God? They are nothing in God's eyes. Even though they are of great size, they are nothing but helpless beings before God. We shouldn't be afraid of them, should we? We will swallow them up. So, let's all take courage and march into the land of Canaan."

No matter how loud Joshua and Caleb raised their voice, the people of Israel, who had heard the negative report from the ten spies, were already disheartened. They even forgot about God who had revealed His wondrous power and led them with His mighty hand at the time of the Exodus. They grumbled against their leaders, having only negative thoughts about the situation which they were in, and this greatly enraged God. As a result, they were all destroyed in the desert, and only Joshua and Caleb were able to enter the land of Canaan (Numbers 13; 14).

To the people who have forgot about God, we should speak words that remind them of God, like Joshua and Caleb. We must not be like the ten spies who led the 600,000 men of Israel to be destroyed in the desert by speaking ungracious words. No matter how desperate our present situation seems, we don't need to be disheartened because God, who governs the universe and controls all life, death, adversity and blessing, is with us. Joshua and Caleb, who reminded the people of this fact, entered the land of Canaan, but the other ten spies and the Israelites were all destroyed in the desert. We must remember this history.

Biblical teachings about speech

It may cause a problem to speak improper words and to listen to those words as well. The Israelites, who listened to the negative words from the ten spies, even forgot the promise which God had given them and fell into fear and despair. Both those who spoke the false words and the people who listened to them were finally disqualified for entering the land of Canaan.

Pr 12:22-25 "The LORD detests lying lips, but he delights in men who are truthful. A prudent man keeps his knowledge to himself, but the heart of fools blurts out folly. Diligent hands will rule, but laziness ends in slave labor. An anxious heart weighs a man down, but a kind word cheers him up."

As the above verse from Proverbs says, anxiety in a man's heart weighs it down, but a good word makes it glad. As for us, God is always with us and the kingdom of heaven is waiting for us. If we go back to the glorious kingdom of God, there will be no more death or pain or suffering.

The kingdom of God, where we will enjoy eternal glory forever and ever, is waiting for us. Even though so many worries overtake us, let us turn all our worries into joy and pleasure through God's good and gracious words, always looking forward to heaven. The Bible has many teachings about speech. If we regard those teachings merely as a means of guiding our daily lives and not a command of God, we are totally mistaken. Just as the Sabbath is a commandment of God, the teachings about speech are also a commandment and rule of God which we must keep.

Pr 15:1 "A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger."

When conversing, we need to always give grace to one another and turn away wrath with a gentle answer rather than a harsh word, as the beautiful children of God. This is God's desire for us. So, we must not hurt each other by words, but give grace to one another and help each other hold fast to the hope for heaven. Even in troubles, let's rejoice with the truth, being conscious of God, and speak many pleasant and gracious words to each other.

Gracious words that can change a man

In human society, words cause much problem or trouble between people. So, there are many wise sayings and teachings about speech. Among them, there is a collection of inspirational quotes from the famous American author and speaker, Zig Ziglar.

A businessman dropped a dollar into the cup of a man selling pencils and hurriedly stepped aboard the subway train. On second thought, he stepped back off the train, walked over to the beggar, and took several pencils from the cup. Apologetically, he explained that in his haste he had neglected to pick up his pencils and hoped the man wouldn't be upset with him. "After all," he said, "you are a businessman just like me. You have merchandise to sell and it's fairly priced." Then he caught the next train.

At a social function a few months later, a neatly dressed salesman stepped up to the businessman and introduced himself. "You probably don't remember me and I don't know your name, but I will never forget you. You are the man who gave me back my self-respect. I was a "beggar" selling pencils until you came along and told me I was a businessman."

Like this, one word can change a man's life completely. Of course, not all who hear the same words are changed, but among them those who have an honest spirit can undergo a positive change.

As the children of God in Zion, let us speak only gracious words. To the people who are oblivious of God and to those who live in discouragement and despair without thinking of God, let's speak words that can remind them of God. There is no doubt that the most gracious words are the words of life that can save dead souls, isn't it? God has given us the opportunity to preach so that we can speak such gracious words.

I earnestly hope that all our family members in Zion will continue to preach God's word of life to all people around the world and heal many souls whatever position and situation we are in, always speaking good, beautiful and gracious words to our family, Church members and our neighbors as well.

Is December 25th the birth of Christ?

World Mission Society Church of God (WMSCOG) believes in Christ Ahnsahnghong and God the Mother.
World Mission Society Church of God (WMSCOG) believes in Christ Ahnsahnghong and Heavenly Mother.

History convincingly shows that Dec. 25 was popularized as the date for Christmas, not because Christ was born on that day but because it was already popular in pagan religious celebrations as the birthday of the sun.

But is it possible that Dec. 25 could be the day of Christ's birth?

"Lacking any scriptural pointers to Jesus's birthday, early Christian teachers suggested dates all over the calendar. Clement. . . picked November 18. Hippolytus . . . figured Christ must have been born on a Wednesday . . . An anonymous document[,] believed to have been written in North Africa around A.D. 243, placed Jesus's birth on March 28" (Jeffery Sheler, U.S. News & World Report, "In Search of Christmas," Dec. 23, 1996, p. 58).

A careful analysis of Scripture, however, clearly indicates that Dec. 25 is an unlikely date for Christ's birth. Here are two primary reasons:

First, we know that shepherds were in the fields watching their flocks at the time of Jesus' birth (Luke 2:7-8). Shepherds were not in the fields during December. According to Celebrations: The Complete Book of American Holidays, Luke's account "suggests that Jesus may have been born in summer or early fall. Since December is cold and rainy in Judea, it is likely the shepherds would have sought shelter for their flocks at night" (p. 309).

Similarly, The Interpreter's One-Volume Commentary says this passage argues "against the birth [of Christ] occurring on Dec. 25 since the weather would not have permitted" shepherds watching over their flocks in the fields at night.

Second, Jesus' parents came to Bethlehem to register in a Roman census (Luke 2:1-4). Such censuses were not taken in winter, when temperatures often dropped below freezing and roads were in poor condition. Taking a census under such conditions would have been self-defeating.

Given the difficulties and the desire to bring pagans into Christianity, "the important fact then . . . to get clearly into your head is that the fixing of the date as December 25th was a compromise with paganism" (William Walsh, The Story of Santa Klaus, 1970, p. 62).

If Jesus Christ wasn't born on Dec. 25, does the Bible indicate when He was born? The biblical accounts point to the fall of the year as the most likely time of Jesus' birth, based on the conception and birth of John the Baptist.

Since Elizabeth (John's mother) was in her sixth month of pregnancy when Jesus was conceived (Luke 1:24-36), we can determine the approximate time of year Jesus was born if we know when John was born. John's father, Zacharias, was a priest serving in the Jerusalem temple during the course of Abijah (Luke 1:5). Historical calculations indicate this course of service corresponded to June 13-19 in that year (The Companion Bible, 1974, Appendix 179, p. 200).

It was during this time of temple service that Zacharias learned that he and his wife Elizabeth would have a child (Luke 1:8-13). After he completed his service and traveled home, Elizabeth conceived (verses 23-24). Assuming John's conception took place near the end of June, adding nine months brings us to the end of March as the most likely time for John's birth. Adding another six months (the difference in ages between John and Jesus) brings us to the end of September as the likely time of Jesus' birth.

This is the reason why we, the World Mission Society Church of God don't celebrate Christmas. Its not in the Bible, it was established by Constantine.

Mark 7:8 "You have let go of the commands of God and are holding on to the traditions of men."

Sunday Worship?

World Mission Society Church of God (WMSCOG) believes in Christ Ahnsahnghong and God the Mother.
World Mission Society Church of God (WMSCOG) believes in second coming Jesus Christ Ahnsahnghong and God the Mother.

See for yourself in history books ? Sunday worship is not from the bible. The day was changed in 321 AD by Roman Emperor Constantine ? almost 300 yrs after Christ existed. Last warning in the bible states:

Revelation 22:18-19

18 I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this scroll: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to that person the plagues described in this scroll. 19 And if anyone takes words away from this scroll of prophecy, God will take away from that person any share in the tree of life and in the Holy City, which are described in this scroll.

And Christ spoke in Matthew 5:17…

17 “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.

Christ fulfilled what was considered sacrificial on the holy Sabbath day ? no longer are we bound by the Old Testament law, where animal sacrifices were in place along with any additional offerings, but now we serve in spirit and in truth. Holding fast to Sabbath Day ? it is the day given for God’s people.

Sunday ? “Sun” Day ? is the day of worship for the Unconquered Sun ? Roman Emperor Constantine’s favorite pagan deity. He made the day of worship on Sunday ? a day for his god.

However, as the true example, Christ kept the Sabbath ? so did the apostles and disciples even after his resurrection. They kept this day in obedience to the commandment. Christ ultimately did not come to abolish but to fulfill ? not change the day of worship but to establish for us the New Covenant.

Until Christ Ahnsahnghong came, we followed the day made by man -Sunday. But now we realize what is God’s will ? keeping his commands. Christ Ahnsahnghong is second coming Christ who gave us the law making us holy and blessing us abundantly on this sacred day of Sabbath. Giving all thanks and praise to Father Christ Ahnsahnghong for revealing to us the truth!

Be Baptized Immediately? Sure!

World Mission Society Church Of God (WMSCOG) believes in Christ Ahnsahnghong and God the Mother.
World Mission Society Church of God (WMSCOG) believes in Christ Ahnsahnghong and Heavenly Mother.

I remember the first time I entered the Church of God. Everything was so much different than the churches I had previously attended. I had a very warm welcome with many "God bless you's" and smiling faces. Naturally, this was odd to me. It isn't everyday that you meet so many sincerely happy people.

After my first study, baptism was offered to me. This was odd occurrence number two. I had always been taught that baptism came with a great deal of time and studying. It wasn't until I came to the Church of God that I was taught that the Bible actually teaches something different.
The Bible teaches us the importance of baptism and the purpose of being baptized immediately.
After Jesus Christ preached with his disciples for 3 years, he gave them a very important command in order to continue carrying out the gospel mission:
"Then Jesus came to them and said, "All Authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." Matt 28:18

Jesus commanded his disciples to go and make disciples by baptizing the people and THEN teaching them everything Christ commanded them. Very often we are taught that this process is the other way around; that first we must learn everything, then be baptized. However, Christ commanded them to baptize first.
Then what is the purpose of being baptized BEFORE learning everything God commanded?
As people destined to die on this earth we are stained with sin. (Romans 6:23)
"Jesus answered, I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh but Spirit gives birth to Spirit." John 3:5
When we are physically born into this word we are born of the flesh. In order to be born of the Spirit, we need to receive the Spirit of God. Without the Spirit of God, how can we possibly understand God's words?

My Mother gave birth to me and then she taught me everything I need to know. If you think about it, God's administration works in the same way. First we are born of God's Spirit, then God helps us to grow by teaching us everything that He has commanded us.

It wouldn't make sense for my mom to try to teach me everything while I'm in the womb without first giving birth to me.
I think you see my point.

"..but God has revealed it to us by his Spirit...This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words. The man without the Spirit, does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them.." 1 Corinthians 2:10-14
God's teachings, God's Word, is taught to us by God's Spirit. Without first receiving the Spirit of God we cannot understand the words that God speaks to us.

Somewhere along the line of Christianity, people stopped listening to God and trying to teach on the terms of human wisdom, hence so many different denominations.

God commanded us to be baptized immediately so that we would know it is God teaching us and not the mere philosophical thoughts of human beings.
How do we know that we have been baptized correctly and received the Spirit?
Jesus Christ commanded them to baptize in the NAME of the Father, the NAME of the Son and the NAME of the Holy Spirit. If all three names are not used, then it is not a real baptism.
(He didn't say title, he said name)
The name of the Father is JehovahThe name of the Son is Jesus ChristThe name of the Holy Spirit is Christ AhnsahnghongWithout God coming in the flesh, we wouldn't be able to carry out baptism. Baptism started with Jesus Christ, as he began his ministry, the very first thing he did, was get baptized. He did this to set an example for us.(Luke 3:21)Christ testified to come again to this earth to bring Salvation AND to bring the New Name of Jesus Christ. Without the name of the Holy Spirit, we do not have a true baptism in this age. 2000 years ago they had up to the name of Jesus Christ and even those who received John's baptism, had to be baptized once again, in the NAME of Jesus Christ.(Acts 19:1-4)Now, in the age of the Holy Spirit, we must be baptized in all three names. (Rev 3:11-13 - New Name)In the age of the Holy Spirit, God the Father and God the Mother are giving us eternal life. We must receive the New Name and be taught everything God has truly commanded us in order to receive Eternal Life."In fact, though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you the elementary truths of God's word all over again. You need milk not solid food." Hebrews 5:12Even 2000 years ago Apostle Paul told the people that there was much to tell them but they were slow to learn because they needed to be taught all over again, this time the teachings of Christ. In the same way, nowadays many things throughout the Christian faith have been distorted and changed. God clearly tells us that nothing can be added or taken away from the word of God. (Rev 22:18) Therefore, we must be taught once again, the basic truths of God's word. This is why God came back to this earth in these last days, to give us the truth so that we may be baptized and receive the true Spirit of God."In the last days... He will teach us his ways, so that we may walk in His paths.." (Micah 4:1-2)

The truth about the name Ahnsahnghong

World Mission Society Church of God believes in Christ Ahnsahnghong and God the Mother.
World Mission Society Church of God believes in Christ Ahnsahnghong and Heavenly Mother.

It has been an amazing to attend Bible studies at the Church of God World Mission Society. I would say the most impressive study thus far for me has been that about the Holy Spirit. I use to think that the Holy Spirit was just this aurora… but i have come to recently see Biblical evidence proving otherwise.
For example, Christ said 2000 years ago: “And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever.” (John 14:16) Another Counselor, meaning He himself was the first Counselor. And again He said: “But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.” (John 14:26) In order for the Holy Spirit to be sent, to teach, and to remind us of all things, He must come in the flesh.
To have studied more in depth about the Holy Trinity, i have finally come to understand more about the Holy Spirit, which was always the most mysterious “member” of the Trinity to me.
In regards to Christ Ahnsahnghong… the scripture states: “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes, I will give some of the hidden manna. I will also give him a white stone with a new name written on it, known only to him who receives it.” Revelation 2:17
Now, this passage urges, whoever has an ear, meaning a spiritual ear, to hear what the Spirit says… then the Spirit indicates Christ (as the letters are in red), but this is 2nd Coming Christ. And He says He will come with a new name. Also again in chapter 3… I was amazed to see that Christ is testified to come again, in the last days, as the Holy Spirit, in the flesh, with a new name! How can we recognize Christ Ahnsahnghong to be Him? Because only the true 2nd coming Christ can bring the hidden manna, which indicates the Passover Feast that was abolished in 325 AD by Constantine. How amazing!

True Baptism is made in the three Names of God

WMSCOG believes in Christ Ahnsahnghong and God the Mother.
WMSCOG believes in Christ Ahnsahnghong and Heavenly Mother.

2000 years ago Jesus Christ commanded the disciples to baptize in the Name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Though he gave this message 2000 years, it was not for them but for. We are living in the last of the Holy Spirit, then when we receive baptism it has to be in the 3 names of God...

Matthew 28:19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

Is it important to be baptize? VERY, thru baptism we receive a new life giving to us by Christ and also according to the Bible all of our sins are washed away.

1 Peter 3:21 and this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also—not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a good conscience toward God.

When we receive baptism we have to make sure it is done in the name of the Father Jehovah, the Son Jesus and the Holy Spirit Christ Ahnsahnghong.

Does it really matter if its in the three names? Of course! For this is Christ command to us. But nowadays nobody baptizes in the 3 names, they insist that theres no name of the Holy Spirit, but there is, Jesus Christ testified coming with a new name in the Holy Spirit age.

Revelation 3:12...I will write on him the name of my God and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which is coming down out of heaven from my God; and I will also write on him my new name.

If we dont know the name of the Holy Spirit our baptism doesnt count even if its made by the Pope. Christ Ahnsahnghong is that name you are missing in your baptism.

COMMANDMENTS OF GOD//Christ Ahnsahnghong

The Church of God, that has received the Second Coming Christ Ahnsahnghong, keeps the Sabbath on Saturday, according to the Bible. The seventh-day Sabbath is the day on which God rested from creating the heavens and the earth. Most Christians are mistaken as to what day the seventh-day Sabbath is, believing it to be Sunday, even though the Bible testifies that the Sabbath is Saturday. And they do not keep the Sabbath day, being bound to their customs, even though they realize that the Sabbath is actually Saturday.
The Bible warns us not to add or subtract even the smallest letter from the Bible.
Rev. 22:18-19 『I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book. And if anyone takes words away from this book of prophecy, God will take away from him his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book.』

The Day to Commemorate God the Creator

The Sabbath day is “a memorial day honoring the Creator, who made the heavens and the earth,” and is also “a day of rest.” God created the heavens and the earth in six days and then rested on the seventh day from all of His work, even blessing this day.
Gen. 2:1-3 『Thus the heavens and the earth were completed in all their vast array. By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work. And God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it he rested from all the work of creating that he had done.』
In the time of Moses, God commanded His people, in the fourth commandment of the Ten Commandments, to “remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy.” God explained the purpose for keeping the Sabbath by saying, “In six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but he rested on the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy” (Ex. 20:11). The seventh day was the day that God, the Creator, had blessed and it was the day that God’s people were given to commemorate God’s authority. God’s people, who worshiped the Creator, kept the Sabbath day as their holy day. God gave His people the Sabbath as the sign by which God would recognize them as His people (Ezek. 20:11-17Isa. 56:1-7).
The Sabbath day is to be a day of worshiping and of offering sacrifices to God, rather than simply a day of rest. God blessed those who kept the Sabbath day and brought great punishment and disaster upon those who did not keep the Sabbath day.
Jer. 17:24-27 『”But if you are careful to obey me, declares the LORD . . . keep the Sabbath day holy by not doing any work on it, . . . this city will be inhabited forever . . . . But if you do not obey me to keep the Sabbath day holy by not carrying any load as you come through the gates of Jerusalem on the Sabbath day, then I will kindle an unquenchable fire in the gates of Jerusalem that will consume her fortresses.”』

The Sabbath Day Is Saturday

Today, we refer to the days of the week as ‘Sundaay, Monday, Tuesday,’ and no longer ‘the first day, the second day, the third day.’ Our present-day system was developed in Rome where people decided to call the first day of the week ‘Sunday,’ the second day ‘Monday,’ the third day ‘Tuesday,’ and the seventh day ‘Saturday.’
1) A calendar week has seven days; Sunday is the first day and Saturday is the seventh day.
2) Think about the word. “Weekend.” Which day does the ‘end’ of the ‘week’ indicate?
3) Even in the dictionary, Sunday is defined as ‘the first day of the week,’ and Saturday as ‘the seventh day of the week.’
4) The Bible also testifies that the seventh day, the Sabbath day, is Saturday.
Mark 16:9 (When Jesus rose early on the first day of the week . . . )
Jesus resurrected on the first day of the week. No one argues that Jesus resurrected on Sunday-the ‘first day of the week’-which is why all Christians now celebrate Resurrection Day on Sunday. In the Good News Bible, this verse is written, ‘After Jesus rose from death early on Sunday…’
Since the first day of the week is Sunday, what day is the seventh day? Through the Bible, we can confirm that the Sabbath day is Saturday.

Jesus and His Apostles Kept the Sabbath

The Old Testament is a shadow and a copy of the New Testament. Thus, the law of the Old Testament was a shadow of the good things that were to come in the New Testament times (Heb. 10:1). The Sabbath day in the Old Testament was called “the Sabbath of Jehovah” (Ex. 31:13Ezek. 20:12), while the Sabbath day in the New Testament was called “the Sabbath of Jesus” (Matt. 12:8Luke 6:5).
The Sabbath day, according to the Old Testament law, was only a copy; the Sabbath day of the new covenant, kept in Christ, is the reality. In the New Testament times, the apostles kept the Sabbath day by worshiping God in spirit and in truth, following Jesus Christ’s example. Jesus kept the Sabbath as His custom.
Luke 4:16 『He went to Nazareth, where he had been brought up, and on the Sabbath day he went into the synagogue, as was his custom . . . . 』
In the New Testament times, the Sabbath day is referred to as “Jesus’ [the Lord's] day” because the true Lord of the Sabbath is Jesus Christ. “For the Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath” (Matt. 12:8Luke 6:5). The apostles kept the Sabbath day as the “Lord’s [Jesus'] day.”
Rev. 1:10 『On the Lord’s Day I was in the Spirit . . . 』
As the times of the Old Testament passed away and the New Testament times began, the way in which God’s people were to keep the Sabbath day was changed; however, the day the Sabbath was to be commemorated was never changed. (In the Old Testament times, God’s people offered burnt offerings and could not even kindle a fire in their houses, while in New Testament times, people worshipped God in spirit and in truth.) The day itself could not be changed because it was on the seventh day that God had rested from all of His creating work. The apostles kept the Sabbath day as their custom, reasoning from the Scriptures as follows:
Acts 17:2 『As his custom was, Paul went into the synagogue, and on three Sabbath days he reasoned with them from the Scriptures . . . 』
As it is written in the above verses, the apostles kept the Sabbath day.
It is proven throughout the Scriptures that the Sabbath day—the seventh day, Saturday, Jesus’ day—was kept until the apostolic age. So why do so many present-day Christians hold services on Sunday [the first day] and not on the Sabbath day? According to history, Sunday service originated from pagan sun-god worship. The Romans had been worshiping the sun god on the first day [Sunday], recognizing it as “the day of the sun,” even before the birth of Jesus.

The Sabbath Was Changed to Sunday

After the apostles died, Christianity spread to western regions, including Rome. The gospel was preached to sun-god worshipers, and in the early 4th century, even the Roman emperor had heard the message of Christ. The emperor happened to be a leader of the sun-god worshipers, and when he converted to Christianity, many sun-god worshipers began to attend Church. As time passed, the faith of the Christians weakened, and they began to accept the customs of the sun-god worshipers. During this turn-over, they even began to rest and to worship on the first day of the week [Sunday]. In A.D. 321, Constantine, a Roman emperor, decreed an edict:

“All judges, city-people and craftsmen shall rest on the venerable day of the Sun.”
Some argue that the abolishment of the Sabbath compelled many people to convert to Christianity, but we must not forget that altering God’s commandments was Satan’s scheme. Satan, the devil, opposes God and has historically harassed God’s people, using various methods.
He tried to destroy the Church of God through severe persecution. But, taking a close look at history, the more that God’s people were persecuted, the more that they depended on God. When Satan changed his methods of persecution, however, and praised the Church, he tempted the Christians to combine their faiths together. They were given back the properties that had been taken from them, ministers were exempted from military service, and the Church was even given the right to emancipate slaves. Through all of these outwardly positive changes to the Church, the Christians unwittingly fell into Satan’s schemes and knelt down before him. They turned their backs away from God, like an ignorant bear who doesn’t realize that his gallbladder is going to be stolen, only focusing on the sweet candy he is being tempted with.
God clearly said that only he who does the will of God can enter the kingdom of heaven (Matt. 7:21-23). Which day should we worship God to please Him, Sunday which most people keep, or the Sabbath, Saturday, which God commanded His people to keep? It is unnecessary to reveal the answer, because the Sabbath day is clearly Saturday.

The Church of God Established by God

The Church of God, established by God, does not follow man-made rules, only God’s laws. They recognize that no one is able to give salvation except God, the Creator of the heavens and the earth. Jesus already revealed that those who follow the laws of men cannot be saved.
Mark 7:6-9 『He [Jesus] replied, “Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you hypocrites; as it is written: “‘These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. They worship me in vain; their teachings are but rules taught by men.’ You have let go of the commands of God and are holding on to the traditions of men.” And he said to them: “You have a fine way of setting aside the commands of God in order to observe your own traditions!”』
The Church of God was established on the foundation of the apostles who followed the teachings of Jesus Christ, and it has not changed since its inception. The true Church follows the laws which Jesus and the apostles observed.
No matter how many members a church has, if the church has different doctrines than those of Jesus Christ, it could not have originated from Jesus. We keep the Sabbath day—the memorial day of the Creator—not observing the law of the Old Testament, but following the law of the new covenant which Jesus and the apostles obeyed.
The saints, who will be saved on the last day, the day of God’s judgment, are those who follow in Jesus’ footsteps. The Sabbath day, one of Christ’s footmarks, is a very precious commandment of God.http://www.biblija.net/biblija.cgi?Bible=Bible&m=Rev+22%3A18-19&id14=1&pos=0&set=5&l=en
